On a Fall Saturday morning, car enthusiasts from throughout the Washington DC region stepped out for a memorable day as we cruised for a cause. The morning started out at Lamborghini Washington for breakfast and coffee provided by Chateaude Chantilly Cafe before starting the day of driving and fun. All of the participants checked in and many local photographers filled up their memory cards taking photos of the vehicles.

Upon leaving the dealership, we went on a scenic rally drive led by the great team known as “DC Car Scene” through the back roads of Virginia, landing in Washington DC for a photo stop at the Capitol. The great people at Blackwall Barn and Lodge laid out the red carpet for the group. The parking lot filled up with exotic cars as far as the eye could see. This great luncheon provided the opportunity for everyone to enjoy the time socializing with other like-minded individuals, partaking in food, and having an all-around showcase of Lamborghini’s and a some other exotic car friends that did not want to miss out on the festivities.

The day ended with a great run to United Karting. Participants let the Bulls rest as we jumped on this professional course to see who can keep up on this track. DJ Fern, vendor booths and other activities filled up the track lot, as this was a new and great addition to the event.

This year we have collaborated with “We Will Survive Cancer” (WWSC) , a 501(c)3 Charitable organization that assists families affected by cancer whose needs are not met by others. WWSC raises money to serve as a conduit to organizations and individuals to assist the families of cancer patients and address the myriad needs of managing a family, to include, but not limited to child care, family counseling, managing household finances, arranging family transportation to visit the patient, and to provide general assistance to the families of the cancer patients.

The 2024 Audi Q8 E-Tron Quattro served as the Pace car for the event. Upon first look, you will notice that the Audi Q8 styling is still prevalent in this electric version. The e-tron sits on 20-inch 5 arm aero ring design wheels that have a bi-color finish. The model that we received came in an glacier white metallic hue, black interior, the Prestige package and the Black Optic package.

Discussion dialed in on what can the Q8 e-tron actually do in the performance realm. The Q8 E-tron has a top speed of 124 mph using 402 peak horsepower. It is powered by a 114 kWh lithium-ion battery that will you 285-mile range (EPA est.) You are looking at about 31 min. (10% > 80% charge) with 170kW DC fast charging. MPGe 80 (city) | 83 (highway) | 81 (combined).

This engine makes very good power and can get up to speed fast. The standard Quattro all-wheel drive ensures that all the power is applied to the road. The eight-speed automatic transmission shifts rather smoothly. Leading up the “Cruise for a Cause” charity ride, we put it to the test while being amongst Audi’s, Lamborghini’s,Porche’s and more. The Audi Q8 e-tron quattro handles well and feels nimble when carving up the corners. Throughout the day the Q8 e-tron was often referred to as the “Electric Urus.”

This event would not have been possible without the leadership and hard work of Christopher Neidemire. When Chris called upon Adrenaline Lifestyles to assist with curation, I eagerly jumped at the opportunity. Such a successful event was also made possible by the generous sponsors that signed on the event such as Lamborghini Washington, Chateaude Chantilly Cafe Dulles Coachworks, The Drivers Vault, Statewide Protective Services, Capital Auto Club, Top Aesthetics, AX Carpenters, Club Exec Auto, Wine of Lamborghini, Jesmar Graphics, Stacked Auto Haus, HomeTrust Lending, La Prima DC, BullSquad, DMV BuzzBuilders, Life Transportation, DC Car Scene, Visual Design Pro and DJ Fern.

Please enjoy the photo gallery and stay tuned for what is in store for the 2024 Gathering of the Bulls.
