Although originally planned for a live launch at the New York Auto Show in April, Ford revealed the new model virtually that included a Bronco two-door, first-ever Bronco four-door model and all-new rugged, small SUV, Bronco Sport. As a Washington Automotive Press Association (WAPA) member and thanks to Ford, I was able to get a up close and personal look at this beauty for myself at the beautiful Dangerfield Island in Alexandria Virginia.

The Bronco Sport is a “min-air” conventional SUV that has also been characterized as the “Baby Bronco” The Bronco is engineered with Built Wild Extreme Durability Testing, Capability and Innovative Design for segment-leading 4×4 capability, long-term off-road performance and dependability. The Bronco features powerful EcoBoost® engines with segment-exclusive 7-speed manual transmission and available 35-inch tires.

The Bronco Sport comes in five unique models including Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Badlands and First Edition. There are seven G.O.A.T-Modes to help drivers navigate inclement conditions including Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery and Sand modes, as well as Mud/Ruts and Rock-Crawl modes available on the Badlands series. The Bronco Sport Infotainment system features a SYNC® 3 system with an 8-inch capacitive touch screen and compatibility with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Safety is important as well with the Ford Co-Pilot360™ suite of advanced driver-assist technologies is standard across the lineup, including Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking.

The Bronco Sport comes with many factory-backed and aftermarket accessories that are available to transport gear such as kayaks, surfboards, skis and camping gear. Ford provides a competitive limited and powertrain warranty but still lacks the complimentary maintenance. The Limited warranty covers three years or 36,000 miles and the Powertrain warranty covers five years or 60,000 miles. Reservations for Bronco two- and four-door and Sport models can now be made for $100 at www.ford.com We can not wait to be able to do a full review on this beast, but for now please enjoy the photo gallery.
