The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition is a limited-run Bronco that s replacing the Wildtrak model this year. It is a Bronco that is a tribute to off-road legend Bill Stroppe and the Baja Broncos of the 1960s and ’70s. Race car builder Bill Stroppe had a team of Broncos for off-road competition in 1965 and then team up to make the Stroppe/Holman/Moody (SHM) Broncos that competed in the Mint 400, Baja 500, and Mexican 1000/Baja 1000 races. In 1971, Ford dealers introduced a “Baja Bronco” package to consumers.
Upon first look, you will notice a “Bronco” and a “bucking horse” emblem on the tailgate. The Stroppe edition Bronco pays homage with unique styling cues. This is evident with the Code Orange, Oxford White, and Atlas Blue retro color scheme, while the hood is matte black. The Sasquatch package on the Stroppe model is a blend of retro styling and enhanced off-road capability. This package includes features like 35-inch rugged tires that provide superior traction and ground clearance. There are high-clearance fender flares to accommodate the larger tires and protect the vehicle’s body from damage during off-roading.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe interior emphasizes ruggedness. The seats are upholstered with unique vinyl/black seats. This material is chosen for its durability and ease of cleaning after off-road adventures. The Heritage comes standard with heated front seats for added comfort in cooler conditions. You will also notice a white dashboard and throwback “Bronco” script logos carry the retro theme into the cabin
The Bronco features a powerful 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine producing 330 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The transmission includes trail control and trail turn assist for enhanced off-road capabilities It’s designed for a balance of power and fuel efficiency, with an EPA-estimated 17 mpg in the city, 18 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg combined.
There are seven G.O.A.T-Modes to help drivers navigate inclement conditions including Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery and Sand modes, as well as Mud/Ruts and Rock-Crawl modes available on the Badlands series. This model Bronco also has a specialized suspension system to handle challenging terrain. The High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) system with Bilstein dampers provides enhanced handling and stability both on and off-road. I felt the Bronco had a great ride and handled the roads well.
The Bronco Infotainment system features a 12-inch Center stack touchscreen with swipe capability and enhanced voice recognition. It also includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a connected voice-activated navigation system, and SiriusXM with 360L. There is also a 12-speaker B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen, with an upgraded subwoofer and higher-output amplifier.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition is equipped with the Ford Co-Pilot360 suite, that has pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, dual-stage front airbags, side-impact beams, and a Safety Canopy side-curtain system with a rollover sensors, High-Performance Off-Road Stability Suspension (HOSS) 3.0 system with FOX internal bypass shocks, Trail Turn Assist blind-spot monitoring (BLIS), lane-keeping alerts, a 360-degree camera, and AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition is a high-performance, baja focused 2-door SUV that mainly it put up against the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. There is also the Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro, the Trailhunter, Toyota Land Cruiser, Land Rover Defender 90. The Bronco Raptor is not a competitor but is a consideration when the purchase of Broncos come into play.
The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe is purpose-built for tackling challenging off-road terrain. Ford provides a competitive limited and powertrain warranty but still lacks the complimentary maintenance. The 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe comes with a standard Ford basic warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The powertrain warranty extends to 5 years or 60,000 miles. Ford also offers a Corrosion (Perforation) plan for 5 years/unlimited miles. Overall, it is a fun vehicle, with an eye-catching paint scheme that draws in interest. With it being a two-door vehicle, it can get kind of frustrating letting passengers in and out. Please enjoy the photo gallery.
