Sunny skies and a clear schedule were the only signs that I needed to head on out to Tysons Corner Mall for Supercar Sunday that was curated by Capital Auto Club. When you think of Super Car Sunday, you think of exotic, limited-edition and highly modified vehicles. So I had the perfect chance to disrupt the status quo with the 2021 Sierra 2500 Denali Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel and that is what I did.
The event took place at the parking garage in Tyson Corner Mall with well over 300 vehicles in attendance. For starters, the truck would not fit in the garage. Security blocked traffic for me so that I reverse and make my way around to the “Super Car” entrance which happened to be an outdoor ramp that led you straight to the rooftop. The floor was full of Lamboghini’s, McLaren’s, Porsche’s and even an extremely rare Ferrari Monza SP2 but the Sierra pulled into the lot with authority and garnered a lot of attention. The talk of the Sierra centered around the Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel engine with Allison® 10-Speed Automatic Transmission with adventures and stories towing ambitions being floated around.
This was a great show that was put on by Capital Auto Club. Being a show promoter myself, I ran into a lot of people that attend my shows, as well met some new faces. It is always refreshing to make it to local car meets because you always get a chance to see something new and be amongst car enthusiasts such as myself. Please enjoy the photo gallery.
