We are back again, continuing our tradition of tailgate parties during all home games for the 2025 NFL season at Northwest Stadium, home of the Washington Commanders. From little league up to the Pros, no football game is complete without a proper tailgate party. Toyota is now the Official Automotive Partner of the NFL and was gracious enough to make our tailgate festivities complete with the 2025 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD Rally.

The parking lot is the stage for fans to come together and celebrate the game with music, good food, beverages and jokes. As usual, tailgating is a fun experience for all involved to prepare for the impending and exciting match about to take place. During this time there was a lot of conversation about how the Toyota trucks are one of the top prospects for anyone in the market for a truck. The 2025 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD Rally that served as the tailgate mobile, has the off-road-focused trim and it features a 389-horsepower twin-turbo V6 engine paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission. The look of this beast typically garnered comments like “That must be fun to drive”.

The 2025 Toyota Tundra SR5 TRD Rally is not just a pickup truck. It is comparable to a luxury car with a bed for a trunk. This Tundra was outfitted with the 9 speaker non-JBL Premium Audio system, 14” media display, Interior upgrades include SofTex seats with a tri-color design, a TRD steering wheel and shift knob, blind spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert, heated and cooled leather ventilated bucket front seats, navigation and LED headlights with DRL and Fog Lights.

Patrons got in and out of the Tundra agreeing that it was built tough enough to handle large workloads, and was spacious within the cabin. The tech features in the Tundra rivaled the luxury sedans that most use as daily drivers. Everyone noticed how cargo space was not a concern being that the model we tested came with a 5.5-foot (65.6 inches) short bed when configured with the CrewMax cab that we arrived in. This was essential being that we had to load up grills, tables, chairs, coolers and more.

The Toyota Tundra served as the centerpiece of discussion during the event as the crowd was festive and ready to cheer on their respective teams. The Toyota and NFL partnership is fitting being that the trucks are as bold, hard hitting and as fast as the players on the field. We are looking forward to more tailgate parties with Toyota next year. Enjoy the photo gallery.
